The LLUM Award
After seven years of celebrating independent filmmakers from around the world, the Love & Hope International Film Festival – Barcelona proudly introduces the LLUM Award, the festival's official trophy and highest distinction.

Inspired by the Catalan word "Llum," meaning "Light," the award represents the essence of cinema. Every film begins with light, transforming imagination into powerful stories that connect audiences across cultures and generations.
​
The design of the LLUM Award is deeply inspired by Barcelona. Its elegant flame symbolizes creativity, passion, and the enduring spirit of independent filmmakers. Integrated into the design is the iconic silhouette of La Sagrada Família, paying tribute to the city that has welcomed filmmakers from every corner of the world since the festival's founding in 2020. The film strip reflects the art of storytelling, the heart represents the festival's values of Love & Hope, and the star symbolizes excellence, inspiration, and the recognition of outstanding achievement.

The Love & Hope International Film Festival has become a truly international celebration of cinema, bringing together filmmakers from dozens of countries to share their stories, cultures, and artistic visions. The LLUM Award was created not only to honor exceptional filmmaking but also to recognize the passion, perseverance, and creativity that independent artists invest in every project.
Each LLUM Award is individually personalized with the winning category and film title, making every trophy unique and a lasting reminder of a filmmaker's achievement in Barcelona.

Presented during the festival's prestigious Gala Awards Dinner on the final evening of the event, the LLUM Award now joins the festival's tradition as a lasting symbol of artistic excellence, international collaboration, and the light that cinema continues to bring to the world.

Después de siete años celebrando el cine independiente y reuniendo a cineastas de todo el mundo, el Love & Hope International Film Festival – Barcelona presenta con orgullo el Premio LLUM, el trofeo oficial del festival y su máxima distinción.

El nombre “Llum” significa “luz” en catalán y representa la esencia misma del cine. Toda película nace de la luz: una luz que transforma imágenes, ideas y emociones en historias capaces de conectar con públicos de diferentes culturas y generaciones.
​
El diseño del Premio LLUM está profundamente inspirado en Barcelona. Su forma de llama simboliza la creatividad, la pasión y la fuerza de los cineastas independientes. En el centro aparece la silueta de La Sagrada Família, uno de los grandes símbolos de la ciudad y un homenaje al lugar que, desde la creación del festival en 2020, ha recibido a cineastas procedentes de numerosos países.

La tira de película representa el lenguaje cinematográfico y el arte de contar historias. El corazón simboliza los valores fundamentales del festival, el amor y la esperanza, mientras que la estrella representa la excelencia, la inspiración y el reconocimiento al talento.

El Love & Hope International Film Festival se ha convertido en un punto de encuentro verdaderamente internacional, donde directores, productores, actores, guionistas y artistas comparten sus películas, culturas y visiones creativas.

El Premio LLUM ha sido creado no solo para reconocer la calidad de una obra, sino también para celebrar la pasión, la perseverancia y el enorme esfuerzo que hay detrás de cada producción independiente.

Cada trofeo será personalizado individualmente con la categoría ganadora y el título de la película, convirtiendo cada Premio LLUM en una pieza única y en un recuerdo permanente del reconocimiento recibido en Barcelona.

El premio se entregará durante la prestigiosa Cena de Gala y Ceremonia de Premios, celebrada en la noche final del festival.
